How to get there

For those of you traveling from London or internationally, the best way to get to Robertsbridge is via train. Robertsbridge Station is about an hour from London Bridge, 1½ hours from London Victoria, 2 hours from Gatwick, and 2½ hours from Heathrow.

In Robertsbridge, there is no way to get directly to Keeper’s Cottage using public transportation. However, it is a pleasant half an hour walk!

Taxi services on the day

On the day of the event, we’ll have a taxi available to help people get to and from Robertsbridge Station and Keeper’s Cottage. The driver will also be able to help transport people from accommodation in / near Robertsbridge (please see Accommodation for more details on this!)

If you are interested in getting a ride, please let us know when your train gets in / when you might need a ride so we can coordinate with the driver on timings.

If you need to book a ride separately, local cabs are typically more reliable than rideshare apps like Uber, and in smaller towns and villages it helps to book a cab in advance.

Exploring the area

Roberstbridge is located on the London ↔ Hastings trainline operated by Southeastern Railway. The train is a reliable way to get to and from London and neighboring towns.

Robertsbridge itself a small village which is best explored on foot. There are numerous public footpaths leading all over the nearby villages! The broader region of East Sussex can be easily explored via public transportation, rental car, or taxi.
